Random lyrics from Common People by Pulp.

She came from Greece she had a thirst for knowledge. She studied sculpture at Saint Martin’s College that’s where I caught her eye…..I said in that case, I’ll have rum and coca-cola she said fine. And then in thirty seconds time she said. I wanna live like common people, I want to do whatever common people do. And then dance and drink and screw, because there’s nothing else to do.

Common People was written by:

  • Jarvis Cocker (Vocals)

Taken from the 1994 album ‘Give Out But Don’t Give Up‘ ‘Rocks’ was a significant change in direct to more of a classic rock sound than previous Primal Scream albums such as ‘Screamadelica’ which had a more dance feel.
As you’ll hear Rocks has very classic Rolling Stones & T-Rex sound and feel to it.

Saffron’s real name is Samantha Marie Sprackling. Prior to being a musician she appeared in the music video of ‘The One And Only’ by Chesney Hawkes (Released 1991) and also as the singer/dancer in British Dance group “N-Joi’s” single ‘Mindflux’. Tubthumping Lyrics

We’ll be singing, when we’re winning, we’ll be singing

I get knocked down, but I get up again,
You ain’t never gonna keep me down

Pissing the night away

He drinks a whiskey drink, he drinks a vodka drink, he drinks a lager drink, he drinks a cider drink.
Sings the songs that remind him of the good times.
He sings the songs that remind him of the better times.

Oh, Danny Boy, Danny Boy, Danny Boy

I get knocked down, but I get up again,
You ain’t never gonna keep me down

Pissing the night away

He drinks a whiskey drink, he drinks a vodka drink, he drinks a lager drink, he drinks a cider drink.
Sings the songs that remind him of the good times.
He sings the songs that remind him of the better times.

Don’t cry for me, next door neighbour

I get knocked down, but I get up again,
You ain’t never gonna keep me down

Chords to Thumthumping are:
