It’s a proper support slot, not just another Oasis set dressed up differently. The Verve & Richard Ashcroft:
Richard Ashcroft was a support act on the Live 25 tour. The Verve have long been linked with Oasis (Cast No Shadow is written about Richard Ashcroft) and their Bitter Sweet Symphony track is a set staple for us. Written by Ashcroft, credited jointly to Jagger and Richards after a sampling dispute, it appears on 1997’s Urban Hymns and reached number two in the UK.
Cast:
John Power’s band Cast supported Oasis on the Live 25 tour, and we play their breakthrough single Alright, written by Power and taken from 1995’s All Change. It reached number 13 in the UK, one of four top forty singles from that record.
Pulp:
Sheffield based Pulp supported Oasis at Sheffield Arena in April 1995. Disco 2000 and Common People are other regulars in our Live 27 support band set. Written by the band and released from 1995’s Different Class, it reached number seven in the UK.
Alright by Supergrass, written by Gaz Coombes, Danny Goffey and Mick Quinn, comes from their 1995 debut I Should Coco and peaked at number two.
The La’s:
The La’s supported Oasis at Brighton Conference Centre on 19th December 1994 & Chris Sharrock who drummed on There She Goes was the Oasis drummer during 2008-2009 Dig Out Your Soul album. There She Goes by The La’s was written by Lee Mavers and reached number 13 in the UK when reissued in 1990 on the band’s self titled album, a record that shaped a lot of what came after it in Britpop.
Dodgy:
Oasis supported Dodgy at Manchester University in June 1993. Staying Out for the Summer by Dodgy, written by Nigel Clark, Andy Miller and Mathew Priest for 1994’s Homegrown, reached number 19 in the UK on a remixed 1995 release.

Haven’t booked an Oasis tribute band?
If your event doesn’t already have an Oasis act on the bill, our Live 27 support band can expand out into a full night of Gallagher classics as well, so you’re not left short of the songs everyone came to hear. Wonderwall, written by Noel Gallagher for 1995’s (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, peaked at number two and remains the band’s best selling single. Don’t Look Back In Anger, also from that album, gave Oasis one of their eight UK number ones on release in February 1996.
Roll With It, released the same week as Blur’s Country House in the so-called Battle of Britpop in August 1995, settled for number two behind it. And Cigarettes and Alcohol, from 1994’s Definitely Maybe and built around a riff borrowed from T. Rex’s Get It On, reached number seven. Add all of this to the support artist set above and you have a full evening from one booking.
