Why All The Small Things Is a 90s Pop-Punk Classic

Released in 1999 on the multi-platinum album Enema of the State, the song played a major role in bringing pop-punk into the mainstream. It received heavy radio rotation and constant music television exposure, helping Blink-182 become one of the defining bands of the era.

Musical Simplicity with Massive Impact

One of the secrets behind the song’s success is its simplicity. Built around a straightforward three-chord progression (C, G, F), it’s easy to learn yet incredibly effective. That accessibility allows audiences to connect with it instantly, which is why it continues to thrive in live environments more than two decades later.

Lyrics That Still Resonate Today

The lyrics focus on appreciation in relationships — small gestures that mean everything. Combined with the upbeat tempo and catchy melody, the emotional core of the song gives it lasting appeal across generations.

Friends Theme Tune I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts cover by Britpop Reunion

The original song by The Rembrandts was released in 1995. Prior to this it wasn’t actually a fully completed song as it was just a one minute theme tune written JUST for the show. After the success of the first season of Friends the bands record label insisted they made it a full complete song. So The Rembrandts added extra parts including a middle 8. (Only true Friends fans know the lyrics to the middle eight section of the song though we always say). The single performed incredibly well in charts across the world throughout the nineteen nighties.

All the guitar parts and harmonies are there from the original song in our live version of this classic 90s tv show.  The audio was taken straight from the desk and no magic or trickery has been performed on it. This is how Britpop Reunion the ultimate 90s tribute band sound live and more so these are guests open and honest reactions to the song and our nineties show.

All the nostalgia of the nineteen nineties will come flooding back you….Remember Furby? Remember Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (Do you even remember they WEREN’T called NINJAS in the UK?) Did you own a Tamagotchi or a Nintendo 64? We had so many original toys and computer games systems come and go from 1990 to 1999. What about Beavis and Butt-Head with their mayhem and music video reviews?  Stereograms? Remember them? Visual illusions of a 3D scene from a 2D image with odd dots and shapes that was all a bit trippy. Also known as Magic Eye or Autostereogram. Can you view our own custom magic eye image below designed by our very own Britpop musician Andy Starkey?

The 90s were the decade of Supermodels. Stunners like Kate Moss, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington. All of which earned yearly million pound contracts. Also it was also the decade of the ‘Wonderbra’ with the fantastic “Hello Boys” poster campaign featuring Eva Herzigová.
