When you’ve been around as long as the UK’s best Brit Pop tribute band ‘Britpop Reunion‘ have been you end up trying out many different 90s songs to see what works and what doesn’t work. (Current repertoire) We learned a large variety of what we would class as ‘Classic Britpop Songs” and even though they sounded great to us, people just weren’t that interested in hearing them live. Sometimes a client might really want to hear a song that resonates with the teenage/20’s years of their lives but no one else wants to hear or dance to it so we shelved the songs. “You live, you learn” as Alanis Morissette sang.
These were THE OTHER most popular Britpop and 90’s bands after the likes of Blur, Oasis, Pulp and Supergrass. They charted well at the time and you still hear some of these songs on the radio today. But generally they were moved out of the current set list for much better well known songs like Day We Caught The Train, Laid, Sit Down etc.
